NILGA Executive Meetings
Executive meetings occur on a monthly basis. The NILGA Executive consists of 28 members and 3 observers who represent the councils. NILGA Full Meetings
NILGA Full member meetings generally occur six times a year. The Full NILGA membership consists of 152 elected members who are supported by council Chief Executives. For further information, please click on the below link:
Strategic Leadership Board Meetings
The Strategic Leadership Board acts as the sponsoring group for the overall local government modernisation and RPA implementation programme. It is the pinnacle of and driver for the modernisation and reform programme. The Minister with responsibility for the Department of the Environment, Sammy Wilson MP, MLA, chairs the Strategic Leadership Board and the vice chair is the President of NILGA, Cllr John Mathews.
